Privacy Policy

TeleSnap is a teleprompter. It has no user accounts, no analytics, and no server of its own. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information. This policy explains what the app does with the data it touches, and the few cases where data leaves your device.

Your scripts

Scripts you write are stored on your device. If you have TeleSnap Pro and enable sync, they are also stored in your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices. That is your iCloud storage, not ours — we have no access to it and no copy of it. Turning sync off leaves your scripts on the device only.

Microphone and speech recognition

TeleSnap listens to your microphone so it can follow your place in the script and highlight words as you say them. Audio is used for that purpose, and for recording video when you choose to record.

Transcription is handled by Apple’s speech recognition. TeleSnap asks for on-device recognition whenever the language you have selected supports it, so your speech never leaves the device. If the selected language has no on-device model available, Apple’s recognizer processes the audio on Apple’s servers instead. In that case the audio is handled under Apple’s privacy policy, not ours — we never receive it. The app shows whether recognition is running on device, and you can avoid server processing entirely by choosing a language with on-device support.

TeleSnap does not record, store, or transmit your audio for any purpose beyond this. Nothing is kept after the session.

Camera and photos

The camera is used to show a preview behind your script, and to record video when you start a recording. Video stays on your device. If you save a recording, it goes to your photo library. We never see it.

Local network

TeleSnap can mirror a prompter running on one of your devices onto another over your local network, using Bonjour. This connects your own devices directly to each other. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party, and no data leaves your network.

Speech calibration

To improve accuracy, TeleSnap remembers words the speech recognizer reliably mishears for you. This is stored on your device only and can be cleared at any time. It contains word pairs, not recordings.

Purchases

TeleSnap Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier and your purchase status. It does not receive your name, email, or Apple Account ID.

Tracking and advertising

TeleSnap contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and we do not build profiles of users.

Children

TeleSnap is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. Deleting the app removes its local data. Scripts synced to iCloud are removed through your Apple Account, and Apple’s data controls apply to them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
